Southwest Airlines

(ticker: LUV) is getting more love from Wall Street. Cowen’s Helane Becker raised her price target on the stock on Tuesday and called Southwest her top pick for 2021, seeing “significant upside” in the shares.

Spirit’s (SAVE) sales warning wasn’t a surprise. Consumers are scaling back on travel as Covid cases spike to nearly 200,000 a day in the U.S., prompting states to reimpose restrictions on business and travel. Health experts warn that the next few months will be worse as the virus spreads due to holiday travel and as the U.S. refrains from imposing strict lockdowns.

Bear Creek, Camelback ski resorts turn to all-online ticket sales, add coronavirus measures

If area ski resorts seem less packed this winter, it’s because they’re taking steps to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, such as social distancing and selling tickets online rather than in person.

If area ski resorts like Bear Creek in Berks County seem less packed this winter, it’s because they’re taking steps to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, such as social distancing and selling tickets all online rather than in person.

“Our biggest change this winter from previous years is selling all of our day tickets online and making them date-specific to control the numbers of guests,” said Gary Kline, marketing and guest experiences director at Bear Creek Ski Resort in Berks County.

“We’re also not encouraging guests to camp out in our lodge,” Kline said. “We’re asking them to leave their belongings in their vehicles instead of in

‘Journey to the North Pole’ cancellation angers ticket buyer | Human Interest

NORTH CONWAY – When COVID-19 forced the Believe in Books Literacy Foundation to cancel its 2020 “Journey to the North Pole” fundraising train rides, which were to have begun Friday, not everyone was happy to get a voucher for a future trip.

In fact, Kate Coyne-McCoy, a grandmother from North Scituate, R.I. — who paid $685 for 11 tickets — was so unhappy that she said she has filed a complaint with the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection and Antitrust Bureau and is also in contact with a dozen other ticket buyers who disagree with BIB’s decision to give them vouchers for rides in 2021 or 2022, rather than refunds.

On Wednesday, A.O. Lucy, executive director of the Intervale-based foundation and one of its cofounders, said Believe in Books made clear on its website — even requiring buyers to check a box acknowledging the policy — that they would get a

SOS: ‘Here We Go Again’: The tour and ticket refunds | Just Ask Us

Cher (copy)

“Here We Go Again” is proving an especially prescient title for Cher’s latest tour, given how many requests SOS is getting for help obtaining ticket refunds for her Madison show that never was.

As part of a tour that began in 2018, the 74-year-old pop diva was scheduled to play UW-Madison’s Kohl Center on April 9. With the advent of the coronavirus in March, the show was pushed back until Sept. 24. In July, with the pandemic as yet untamed, the show was postponed to a date as yet uncertain.

That’s been problematic for a lot of Cher fans, especially older ones. They include 71-year-old Delores Thomas, of Madison, who bought three tickets on Nov. 6, 2019, from Vivid Seats for her, her sister and her brother-in-law, for whom the concert was intended to be a birthday present.

Since then, she and her brother-in-law

Sever’s changes ticket model after huge lines for holiday lights

Sever’s in Shakopee has announced it’s making changes to its ticketing model after the opening of its holiday lights drive-thru attraction led to huge lines and long waits.

The drive-through show featuring 1.2 million lights opened on Thanksgiving evening, and over its first two nights the attraction has become overwhelmed.

Previously, those who bought tickets weren’t given a set time slot to attend, and could instead show up whenever they like during opening hours.

But that’s going to change, with Sever’s saying it’s now moving its online ticket system to a limited capacity model where buyers choose a date and one of two time slots.

In an email to customers, Sever’s said drivers were waiting on average 1-1.5 hours to get into the attraction, and said that with its new ticket model not up and running, Saturday is expected to be similarly busy.

Soccer-Golden ticket — How clubs plan to welcome back fans

LEEDS, England, Nov 27 (Reuters) – With 2,000 fans allowed back into stadiums in Tier 2 locations in England, soccer clubs have the unenviable task of trying to decide which supporters get a golden ticket this Christmas.

It was the news fans were waiting for as they wondered which tier their area of the country would be in after the national lockdown ends on Wednesday as, among other things, it would determine how many would be able to return to each stadium.

No Premier or Football League clubs fall into Tier 1 of the government’s new system, while 10 of the country’s top flight clubs cannot welcome any fans back at all after finding themselves in the most restrictive Tier 3.

However, 10 Premier League clubs and 34 Football League teams can have 2,000 fans for each match from next week. The problem is how to distribute the limited number

Black Friday 2020: Save big on traveling with plane ticket deals

Getting on an airplane right now may not be your top priority, but the travel forecast for next year is looking pretty good. If you plan on traveling next year, why not buy those tickets now when they go on sale?

By spring or summer of next year, it is predicted the COVID-19 vaccines will be in wide supply, and that may be what it takes to get back to traveling.

ABC13’s Jeff Ehling found tickets to France for $200 and super cheap domestic fares before Black Friday sales even started.

Boston Red Sox 2021 ticket sales put on hold in midst of COVID-19; team has begun to contact season-ticket holders

The Boston Red Sox typically begin selling tickets to select home games in December. But 2021 ticket sales will be put on hold in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

Sales will be pushed back to January or February as it remains unclear if the Red Sox and other Major League Baseball teams will be able to host fans, even in a limited capacity, during 2021.

Full capacity attendance likely hinges on when a vaccine is available to the general public. Pfizer and BioNTech announced Nov. 18 that their coronavirus vaccine showed it is 95% effective at preventing the spread of the viral respiratory infection.

The Red Sox also have not yet decided whether single-game ticket prices will increase. The organization increased ticket prices by an average of 1.7% in 2020. Ticket prices increased an average of 2.5% both in 2018 and 2019 and 2.9% in 2017. Boston did not

$100,000 lottery jackpot winning game ticket sold in Irmo SC

Someone won $100,000 after buying a lottery ticket at a Midlands convenience store, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.

Lottery officials said the winning Palmetto Cash 5 ticket was purchased at Spinx #265 on Broad River Road in Irmo. That’s near the junction with Interstate 26.

The winning numbers — 2, 8, 11, 13, and 24 — were drawn Monday.

If the person had bought the “Powered-Up” option, the prize would have tripled to $300,000, lottery officials said.

The winner now has 180 days to claim the prize, according to lottery officials.

The winner will be allowed to retain some privacy, as South Carolina is one of eight states — along with Delaware, Kansas, Georgia, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio and Texas — that allow lottery winners to remain anonymous.

The odds of winning $100,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 501,942-to-1, lottery officials said.

In addition to the six-figure jackpot,
