Milwaukee’s role as a Great Lakes cruise ship destination is taking a big step forward.
A new agreement guarantees that the Port of Milwaukee will be a turnaround location for the Pearl Mist cruise ship from 2021 through 2030 — with an option for the cruise line to extend that service to 2040.
The lease was approved Thursday by the city Board of Harbor Commissioners. It also needs Common Council approval.
